Question by : what is the difference between ipad and regular tablet with android?
ipad is $ 600 and 7″ tablet with android 2.3 at frys is $ 100.
Why so much of a difference. Is there somthing that ipad can do and regular tablet cannot?

I don’t know what you mean by ‘regular tablet’, they’re all tablet computers.
As to the difference, buying an iPad locks you in to 1 vendors hardware & supply chain, as you are limited to buying apps & services via Apple, & have to use the OS as is…
Android is Open Source, hence no lock-in, so you can get apps from many different sources, & hack the OS to your specific requirements.
Also, most Android devices have better connectivity than iPads, from what I’ve seen of them in shops. And iPads seem a bit flimsy compared to some Android hardware as well.

Yes, iPad does do something that Android can’t. It can empty your wallet really quickly.

Oky, I’m totally confused. What is the difference between an apple ipad & other tablets. Why are the ipad’s so much more expensive & are there applications for autistic children available with other tablets as well? Also, why not a touchscreen laptop? What’s the big difference there?

Apple brands have higher quality and it started the tablet wars. And touchscreen laptop is like a tablet but you have to flip it.

Question by : Is an iPad a worthy investment for school?
I am considering purchasing an iPad for the benefits of eBook prices and taking notes in class for college. I brought up the idea to my dad and he said, “Why buy an iPad when you can do everything I just mentioned on a computer, and MORE!”. So I am trying to find reasons that would merit purchasing an iPad. I can’t think of anything!

It is powerful enough to do a lot.

You sacrifice a keyboard and storage space and USB connectivity.

A macbook air makes a hell of a computer, decent for <1500, great battery life, 15 second startup.

Easier to print from the macbook air.

An ipad would work, but a simulated keyboard would be slow, it would be far tougher to print, etc.

How long does it take to backup the ipad?

I need to update my ipad but i need to back it up first. It’s been almost an 1 hour and 30 minutes and it’s only 1/10 done. How come it take such a long time and how long will it be done?

Applications data backup could be causing it taking so long. Some apps might have a bug and it could cause it as well.
Usage statistics being sent back to Apple is another thing that could be resulting in long backups for some users – try and reset the warnings that could be sending the data to Apple

Right click the iPad in iTunes and choose “reset warnings” and choose to NOT send info to Apple and sync again…
You don’t need to back it up every time. Look at the status at the top where it tells you it is backing up when you start syncing, click the “x” at the right of the status message to cancel the backup. This will let you skip the back up for this sync session.

I recommend that you do this only when you are in a hurry, as it is a good habit to back up often.

Hi, i just got an ipad yesterday, and this morning, I found this tiny with scratch just less than 1cm in length on my screen, and it’s REALLY annoying. How can I remove it, or make it not be seen?

You can’t really remove any scratches on the screen. Sorry! But I would suggest you buy a protector cover for your screen. They are like 2 bucks on amazon and take it into apple and they will apply it for you so you don’t have any bubbles in it. Good luck! <3

When I send my villagers to the lab they always leave because of the red mask scary guard or the orange people chase the away! Also how can my villagers get food?! The food bushes are always guarded!!! Are there any cheats for the IPad version? Besides changing the time on the iPad.

A large portion of VV5 is the puzzle of clearing the guards. You do this by tearing down the totems near the locations you want to use.

The food totems is a matter of using the bee miracle close enough to it to drive off the guards. Before they come back drop villagers on the totem to have them tear it down. Make sure to wait for the bees to clear off first or your villagers will be affected too.

The totem outside the science lab gets harder after you clear the bush totem, but the bush totem should probably be the priority. It takes lightning to stun the totem to allow it to be torn down, and if aimed right the lighting will also drive the guards away.

I recently bought a nice, cheap netbook. I really want an iPad 2 now, and have made a plan to pay for it myself. My parents don’t like the idea of getting an iPad because of the netbook,and the fact that they think iPads are also just big iPod Touches (which I also bought recently). How do I convince them to let me have one? Please help!

What is the best note taking app for iPad?

I am a student in high school and I want to use my iPad as kind of a notebook. I was wondering what would be the best app to use. I would prefer if an app would let me physically write my own notes (my handwriting instead of type) but I understand if that is not physically possible. Thanks.

Penultimate this is a good app for actually writing notes the app is designed around using a stylus or finger to write or draw on very realistic looking notebooks. You can have as many notebooks as you want.

Well if you download a app called “download music free for iPad” (I’m not sure if that is the name) you can play the music through that app and go onto Facebook.

I want to setup a mobile editing rig for a new film im working on, this involves attaching an ipad 2, a Lumix G3 and a Shotgun Microphone all to one tripod, ive found an case for the ipad with two shoulder
mounts and a tripod attachment, but the Camera probably wont fit onto the top mount, any ideas as to what i could do?

Always have the microphone on a separate stand to avoid clunky noises touching the camera etc. Why does the iPad have to be very close to the camera? Surely a stool or table nearby would be better?

I recently got an iPad 2 and realized that my printer is not one of the printers that Apple listed as air print enabled. Do I have to have one like that?

Is there a way (or an app) that can help me connect to my printer?

Check out the app store PrintDirect and there are others
Apple has a feature called airprint some HP prints have this feature build in or check out http://www.steinpc.com/i1.htm to setup your home wireless network shared printer to print from you ipad. Safari icon is next to the address and one of the selection will be print. There are some apps to do print in the app store. Check AirPrint Activator too.
